Yes. But there are many who want to do that and that is what they claim defund the police means. I never said they had common sense.

Changing the organization of the police is not getting rid of the police nor, as we have seen in the referenced article, is it defunding them.

They were not unionized at first. That saved a ■■■■ load of money. They made the old officers reapply.
The ones that didn’t want their pay lowered or had problems with the new org did not apply.
