IG report about FBI conduct ahead of the 2016 presidential election date set

Who told us there was no foundation for the Mueller investigation? Link?

Gowdy called it a “dark day” for the FBI and DOJ after it confirmed the “level of bias and animus” in agent Peter Strzok. The Congressman said Strzok wanted to get in on the Mueller probe because he wanted to impeach President Trump.

GOWDY: And he did fire him. And God only knows what damage he was done before Mueller fired him. This is what’s so pervasive about bias, Bret, it doesn’t matter what Mueller comes up with. Some people are going to believe that Strzok’s level of animus was so high that you can’t remove the taint. That’s why bias is so destructive in a justice system.

Ah, so no one actually said there was no foundation for the Mueller investigation. Got it. I didn’t think that had been said by anyone with any credibility.

You are literally all over the place.

Peter Strzok was Deputy Assistant Director of the Counterintelligence Division and he said “there was no there, there.”

Those are all quotes.

Was that before or after he saw all the evidence to the contrary? Does he still feel that there is no there, there? What about those in the FBI that did feel there was something there, do their opinions matter?

Can’t answer any of the questions?

It’s all in the report. Can you read?

So yes he did change his mind about a “there, there” after her started seeing the evidence.

What about those in the FBI that did feel there was something there from the beginning? do those opinions matter?

He did not say there was no there, there, after the completion of the investigation, which has not concluded. We won’t know if there was a there, there, until Mueller is allowed to complete the investigation and reveal his findings.

Strzok was one of the highest ranking agents in the FBI. He was the most experienced counterintelligence expert in the bureau. He made recommendations to James Comey.

He said there was nothing there. As biased as he was against Trump, if there was anything there, he should have known.

BTW, there is still no there, there. If Strzok had anything, it would have leaked by now, especially with the President’s numbers so high. All you have is crickets.

Yes, before ever joining the team and seeing a shred of evidence. It doesn’t mean what you’re trying to make it out to be

Good gravy Piper. He allegedly said he did not know if there was anything there. Not that he knew for certain there was nothing there. That is for starters.

Secondly, this was before the conclusion of the investigation, which is still ongoing. So it is an impossible prediction to make with accuracy, which is why it was merely a suspicion and not a declarative statement.

Finally, the fact that the investigation into the Trump campaign did not leak out prior to the election, you know when it could have actually impacted Trump’s chances at getting elected, by Strzok and his guaranteed plan to prevent Trump from becoming President, is proof that no, in fact if there is something there, it would not have leaked out by now. Doubly so now that Mueller and his leak-free investigative team have taken it over from the FBI.

Last but not least, the President’s numbers are so high? Huh?

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html

He is at 43.3% approval and 51.7% disapproval. Lower than both Bush and Obama and Reagan at the same time in their Presidencies. Obama and Reagan were not only higher than Trump, but also were dealing with horrible economies. Trump is worse than them with an economy that is chugging along. That says something about just how poorly he is truly viewed.

His approval numbers are rising. Muellers numbers are going down even among Democrats.

I agree with both of these statements.

However, what do you expect when you have one side constantly bashing the other, while the other side remains tight-lipped and not saying a thing, allowing their professionalism and action in court do their speaking for them? Americans are easily swayed by propaganda, and the Trump team has been in full-on propaganda mode for a a year and a half now.

On March 20, 2017,
then Director Comey testified before Congress that the FBI began an
investigation in late July 2016 into “the Russ
ian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016
presidential election,” including “investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated
with the Trump campaign and the Russian government and whether there was any coordination
between the
campaign and Russia’s efforts.”

Supervision of the Russia investigation was briefly transitioned from Strzok to another
Counterintelligence Division DAD in early 2017. However, AD Priestap told us that FBI leadership
**decided to keep Strzok involved in **
the Russia investigation and he was therefore reassigned back to it.

Strzok supervised the FBI investigation into Russian/Trump campaign from when it began, July 2016.

Doesn’t that show Strzok’s ability to put his personal bias aside while on the job? He didn’t like Trump but was unsure in the beginning whether to join Mueller’s team because he wasn’t yet sure if the evidence against him existed?
