Yeah…you’re so much smarter than our founding fathers…amirite? :sunglasses:

Probably because the founders were smart enough to realize that allowing former Presidents to be locked up by their political opposition is a great recipe to end up with one who won’t leave office when his time is up.

Because they saw it happen.

DJ Trump is enjoying the challenge. He’s winning over the globalist cabal, the death sentence is being reactivated, treasonous activism by Democrats and RlNOs is heading for a reckoning, and the traitors are going more and more insane as they are being shepherded nearer and nearer to the gallows.

More popcorn anyone?

Do you have something to back this up?

I assume he is referring to this.

That DoJ opinion was published Aug. 5, 1974. Nixon resigned Aug. 8, 1974. That wasn’t the next day. It was three days later.

Given that liberal posts must always contain inaccuracies, that’s pretty close.

Come on Bill. 3 days after 45 years?

“Orchestrated”?

Extra butter on mine please!

As in a conductor.

Great post! That’s why establishment types in both parties seem to hate him.

Good on the popcorn. :popcorn::smile:

Either way, it’s an opinion that may or may not be shared by current supreme court justices.

True. There are many other legal opinions favoring the concept of self pardon.

When the constitution was signed, how many states did we have? Thirteen, not 50. How many people had the right to vote when the Constitution was signed? If I remember correctly, it was only white, land owners allowed to vote; then came the various amendments and voting rights.

If three amendments can change the voting rights to the Constitution, then the another amendment can rid this country of the electoral college.

Agreed. But under the Constitution, how many votes are required to change the Constitution? Do you know the requirements?

I do believe it’s 2/3 of congress (both houses) OR 2/3 of states, which we all know it won’t happen in our lifetime outside a miracle.

Sounds like it.

Two-thirds of both houses of Congress AND three-fourths of state legislatures.
