is it a rejection of the GOP and so called conservatism? a rejection of trumpsim?
a mandate for major change .universal health care with either a public option or medicare for all, an end to oil gas subsidies, abortion rights codified into federal law, raising the minimum wage and more???
I say it is. and i hope the dems to all that and more. it will be a complete rejection of everything trump has done.
It’s a mandate for civility that’s all. I remember when Obama won the first time and he had the house and 60 senators, James Carvelle said the Republicans would be out of power for 40 years. How did that work out? If the left tries to use this scenario as a mandate for leftist policies they will lose in a landslide in 2 years just like Obama did.
I am always civil, but I remember the horrors the GOP enacted afterwards personally in my own state. Should I should be civil with barbarians? (that’s meant to be tongue in cheek, don’t take it personally)
I don’t doubt that. But the Democrats will quickly lose power again just like 2010. Biden will be dealing with a Republican congress in 2022 if Moonshine’s scenario happens.
It won’t matter if it’s a mandate or not, they will put the country on the fast track to removing our Constitutional rights & create a socialist state right after they install President Kamala.
Not sure about that either. I think they’ll spend two years doing everything they possibly can legislatively to ensure long-term electoral dominance, and the press isn’t likely to cover any Democratic policy failures anyway.
