If NATO membership for Ukraine was a known bright red line for Russia, why did Biden promote it?

the EU supporters have a lot more guns and people.

Neither do you.

A certain party doesn’t have to win political seats for them to have far right wing units in their military as well as the police and far right views in the countries populace.

It runs through the west of the country as well as all of eastern and most of central Europe this wasn’t the right sector or Azov battalion not letting black people on busses to flee the country.

the far right don’t hold much power in Ukraine.
no amount of whataboutism is going to change that fact.

Racism in Europe.
that would never happen…

not all racist are Neo-nazis.
racism is quite common in Europe.

Yep. They got neutered in 2015-2016.

Not saying that they can’t make a come back… but as for now the Right Sector can’t win a single seat.

Here is compilation of dire warnings about Ukrainian NATO membership.

I suspect future historians will view recent decisions from Washington as a classic blunder:

I didn’t “whatabout” anything.

as long as a few nations in NATO want Ukraine to join, NATO will have a relationship with Ukraine.
You again refuse to accept the basic fact on how NATO works.

And why would NATO nations want Ukraine to join NATO?

some didn’t for this exact reason that is happening in real time.
others though Putin was bluffing.
others didn’t care either-way.

NATO doesn’t do anything till full consensus, Ukraine asked to join in 2015 by 2022 there still wasn’t full consensus on the topic.

to suggest that America could just wave its hand and the issue would magically go away is simply untrue America is one voice in a collective.

You said it.

Yes, so long as a fews nation are pushing for Ukraine NATO will treat their application as valid.
because its not been rejected we don’t know which nation were pro/con because there exist no voting records.

Why would “a few nations” want Ukraine to join NATO?

That would depend on who the current world leaders are.
and their personal philosophies on European politics.

Pick two

Article 10

The Parties may, by unanimous agreement, invite any other European State in a position to further the principles of this Treaty and to contribute to the security of the North Atlantic area to accede to this Treaty. Any State so invited may become a Party to the Treaty by depositing its instrument of accession with the Government of the United States of America. The Government of the United States of America will inform each of the Parties of the deposit of each such instrument of accession.

rejection also require unanimous agreement.

No it doesn’t. There is no such thing as rejection.

Ya it’s different in Eastern Europe let’s put it this way in the west leaders condemn it. In Eastern Europe heads of states if not openly support it look the other way
