If the difference between the totals of the candidates is greater than the mail in/absentee ballots that have not been counted, they can safely call a state.

The magic van doesn’t have to be found.

I’m not a leftist, more a right of center Republican, that thinks that the American people deserve better then Trump.

My leftist neighbor and I have joined forces, we know exactly where the “magic van” is. We are busy printing fake in-person ballots that we will drop off late tonight to our contact in the elections office and have another van painted like a USPS truck stashed away and we are loading it up with 10’s of thousand fake mail in ballots tied to illegals and dead people that our contacts on the inside will “find” at the correct time.

Not to worry.

Well done. I was truly surprised by Trump’s hijinks this time. I thought there was no way his supporters would encourage the non counting of their fellow citizens ballots. Ballots that were done correctly. But here we are. Sad.

The outline of the response is clear from what the media have already reported.

Then there is the default excuse, “the Russians”. If that sounds farfetched consider that consider that the mainstream media have totally ignored the Hunter Biden story and claimed, without evidence, that that it is all “Russian disinformation”. The media may use their own fake polls to dismiss the actual election results as a Russian plot.

Given the delays associated with counting mail-in ballots, I would say a likely outcome is for the media to simply ignore the results if they are favorable to Trump.

I don’t see what the problem is. Neither Trump or Biden should concede the election tonight.

It will take a few days to count all the mail-in ballots.

All votes count and count all the votes. Accurate is better than fast.

All legal votes should be counted. No matter how long it takes. This is basic. It seems like some people should get used to the idea that there most likely won’t be real results tonight.

Then the Republicans and Democrats should have offered a better candidate than Trump.

The Republicans cancelled primaries so they didn’t allow another candidate to be offered and the the people to express their will.

Agreed. I well remember 2016 when the Trump crowd kept saying “the will of the people.” And they were right. The will of the people is expressed through the vote. The counting of the ballots must be completed to ensure the will of the people is ascertained

And that’s going to take a longer time this year because there are more absentee/mail in votes than ever before.

#1 is an opinion

#2 is a likely scenario. Absentee ballots are usually counted last.

#3 is an opinion.

Typical. The same people who are insisting on and happy about the extreme latitude in how each state handles their election and ballots are the same people blaming Trump for a lack of a one size fits all implementation of a Federal Covid 19 response.

Who’s in charge of each state again Libs?

What’s the constitution say? Each state is in charge of their elections, but the Congress can pass regulations and laws pertaining to elections.

States don’t control their own elections?

#1 Trump says this all the time. Why is it valid when he says it but not when Biden says it?
#2 This is an artifact of more Dems than GOP have done mail in voting
#3 Hillary said not to concede if Trump tries to declare victory on Election NIGHT…and she is absolutely correct to say this.

No, she isn’t, it could, not likely, be apparent he has won tonight, it’s a possibility at any rate so any admonishment not to concede no matter what is irresponsible.

I kinda just wanna see what happens when a president claims victory when he clearly hasn’t won.

I mean, clearly you’ll all swear up and down it’s true but in the real world.

Getting to the point where both sides will condone just about anything for the prize. I wonder what happens when countries get to that point?

What I predicted about how a Trump presidency would turn out even before he was elected when you were still swearing up and down you’d never vote for him, I’d imagine. But worse.

If it makes you feel better, I am sitting today out, can’t bring myself to vote for either of them. But Trump getting elected isn’t what brought some republicans to the point of condoning any and all tactics, that would be the months of political violence by the left.
