Most politicians go into politics middle class and go out wealthy. I don’t believe the worldwide Trump empire has made more money with him as president then it would have made during the last three years if he would have just kept doing what he did. I suspect the responsibilities of the presidency keep him from devoting his time to enriching his empire. He was already filthy rich when he was elected. If money was his motivation for getting elected, he made a poor choice.

Obama  this post.

 money grubbing is not new.

While I think wages have not kept up with prices, specifically college and health care, there are still plenty of opportunities to make money.

I’ll find the numbers if anyone wants but we have alot of millionaires in the 1-3 million range, that made that money by being responsible and contributing to their retirement. It’s not impossible, it isn’t rigged, it just takes patience and hard work.

Of the 450M raised to support his election, he spent 65M of his own.

The figures also show that Mr. Trump put in $65 million of his own cash, well short of the $100 million he had originally promised he would spend on his campaign.

He raised twice as much as the previous record for his inauguration, and then spent a good deal of that in possibly illegal and certainly unethical ways.

how much was fox news in kind support worth to trump?

Except that if politicians knew their time was limited to a reasonable period and they couldn’t get re-elected after that period, we wouldn’t have career politicians selling their offices. My idea would be twelve years max. 6 terms as representative or two terms as senator or any combination of the two. 12 years and your out, UNLESS they get elected POTUS, then they could add that 8 years. Of course the benefits would be cut too. No more lifetime salaries for one term congressman…

Other things, as you suggested and limiting the power of lobbyists would help too.

Were you mad when trumps raid killed his daughter as well

I’m referring to the two targeted. Were you mad when obamas raid killed the son as well?

Not really but you really have no moral high ground here when you defend the seal killing prisoners

Did I? Strange.

millions

It’s also a “job” (I use that word lightly in this regard) that few want to retire from. Most if not everyone I’ve known from various professions could not wait to retire as soon as economically possible. Yet how often do we see Congressmen and women staying in these positions well into their 70’s, 80’s, and even 90’s.

You forgot the words "hundreds of " before millions.

Of course. Both sides do the same thing. Divide and conquer. Keep us busy arguing amongst ourselves instead of dealing with the root cause of most of the problems, which would of course be them.

Power and wealth combined is a powerful drug. Tough to quit.

Am I a horrible person?

Yup, power corrupts…

Which is why I believe in term limits.

Then why has college tuition increased at 1500% the rate of inflation?

It’s not about education. It’s about money.
