The things that woman need after rape and incest are:

Restraining orders and criminal charges against the offender (incest)

Criminal charges (rape)

The morning after pill

An abortion, if wanted.

Mental health help.

If the doctor is arrested, they are a victim.

In 1973 all states had laws that limited abortion. Most of the states have since repealed those laws or else state courts have overturned the laws. The link is from 2010 so it does not include the new laws in Mississippi and Texas.

The overturning Roe would only restrict abortion in states where there are state laws against it. The immediate effects may be limited to one or two states with laws already in place.

The mother contracted the abortion…

All of those are needed except abortion.

Yeah if I am a woman I want to carry a rapist child to term…

Not.

she was targeted. Just like the tobacco industry, the fast food industry, and the alcohol industry target selected demographics, the abortion industry does too. Once the damage is known and brought to a court, the courts have viewed those targeted people as victims … regardless of the fact that those people conducted a legal transaction to obtain a product. And those who provide the product are not seen as victims. Your argument doesn’t stand up against historical fact.

But you aren’t a woman and you would never truly know how we feel.

How was she targeted? I’ve NEVER seen a commercial, billboard, etc for abortion.

Does the ā€œtargetedā€ argument work if a woman contracted someone to kill her husband?

Progressive Florida. Thanks. Are their commercials? Billboards by the provider of Abortions, advertising abortions?

Remember your examples included tobacco companies.

Does the targeting argument work if a woman contracts for her husband to be killed?

I know that woman should have a choice in the matter.

That much I do know.

I have talked to my wife at length about it.

Allan

I’ve sufficiently proved you wrong. Accept defeat graciously.

Have you talked to the other significant party of the abortion about it? Oh that’s right…

  • that aren’t considered human
  • they are considered property an owner
  • if they are given rights; the owner will suffer a hardship
  • they don’t have a voice in making laws.

But…What do you think they would say?

From a moral and legal standpoint, why would the woman who sought out and hired the hit man get a pass?

Yup. And down the line . . . probably birth control itself.

This is a bunch of handwaving ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  There’s no way to avoid the moral culpability of the woman in many cases, but the GOP knows that would be wildly, insanely, comically unpopular to punish the woman… So we get this kind of disingenuous, incoherent nonsense. The analogy between the alcohol/tobacco industry is beyond ridiculous. ā€œTargeting.ā€ LOL. Compare the marketing and advertising budgets of the tobacco industry with—what?—that of Planned Parenthood?

Sure, I’ll grant you that, but can you answer my question?

Does targeting apply to women who contract to have their husband killed?

Hiring a contract killer doesn’t not make you a victim.

It makes you a murderer.

I know for me, it’s not about losing power. It’s about respecting and protecting the lives of nearly a million human beings a year (in this society alone.) But yes, I know it would be a killer on the issue itself for nationwide opinion.

I also am convinced that the demand for murder charges against the aborting mother primarily comes from pro-abortion-rights people, because they know it’s a sure bet to retain the right to kill their own offspring. They can hide it behind the guise of ā€œfairnessā€, but that’s not really the goal from this faction.

And I’d take bets that when such restrictions and bans go into place, the ā€œfairnessā€ hurdle sought by abortion rights advocates will not be there. I’m sure that will be disappointing to them, and they’ll have little else but charges of duplicity to cast at abortion abolitionists. I certainly won’t let that bother me in the least.
