That’s a good observation, that would almost certainly be one of the responses.

I wonder if those will have anti-abortion activists protesting them.
It could all be done online, with the only physical address being a P.O. box in Rhode Island. There would be nothing to physically protest.
Online harassment, doxing, etc would still happen.

Some of the proposals over the years have included it. Some haven’t.
It has a great impact on the unborn babies.

The morning after pill is not an abortifacient.
The point I was trying to make was that say your neighbor’s daughter got pregnant, told no one about it, then got an abortion your life or feelings would not be impacted in any way. Which brings this back to the issues pertaining to what the laws would be and to what extent they will be enforced?
That’s why I used the shoplifting example. Shoplifting can be illegal but if there are no consequences or they are not enforced people will shoplift. The difference is that will eventually become a detriment to many people in a society. Regarding abortion it would seem that there will be ways for a person to still have one and keep it discrete. With that inevitably being the case, to what extent are states going to try to go after the women who end their pregnancies?
If over turning roe vs wade saves some lives then it is well worth it.
It wouldn’t stop it in every state but at a minimum it would slow it down in some states.
Wait… the abortion industry will not lobby for a pro-abort state to pay for travel and abortion for an anti-abort state resident??? I mean… sheese… I thought abortions were rare now. So it shouldn’t cost much. Surely the good pro-abort state citizens will gladly pay to help a poor girl out.
Don’t dems believe that tax dollars can legitimately pay for aborts?
What am I missing?
We aren’t talking about a national abortion prohibition.

… there would be no abortions because nobody would want to kill their own child.

Here is a wild idea for the pro abortion crowd. Make a private charity, funded by your donations, to pay for travel, lodging and procedures for the women who live in the pro-life states, want an abortion. but can’t afford the cost to travel to a pro abortion state for the procedure.
You will get what you want, but won’t be able to make those who don’t support this have to take part with you.

Irrelevant if funds are from the state.
Ah.
As I predicted earlier, I do think non profits will get set up to help people with this.
the morning after pill does not end pregnancy, it prevents pregnancy.

Why, we’ll get overzealous prosecutors that’ll go after women that have a miscarriage and send them to prison. “Oh, that would never happen”, you say?

Some slippery slopes are real?
From what I was able to find it seems to be a declining trend already:
'cause it’s big business.
