As in she’s a cartoon exaggeration and not particularly realistic? Most liberals, woke or not, are not this irrational.

Already been answered. This from post #7.
"Because it’s all part of the big lie that the United States is uniquely evil. We certainly are not. The entire world is guilty. Did I stray a little too far from the topic? Maybe. If so, we can move on and not discuss it further. I’m cool with that."
You decide.
That’s a farce, ALL “evils” originated in the United States. Prior to the founding of the United States all people were in a state of utopia.
Big lie? Who’s claiming that we are uniquely evil?

US evil is actually quite mundane.

That is not true.
So so not true.
But even if it were… I think that it is okay to criticize the failure of the founders to live up to their own ideal that “all men are created equal”.
That is a contradiction that can’t be hand waved away imo.
It doesn’t mean that they were uniquely evil but it was a terrible failure on their part.
How is the institution of slavery related to an imbecile who feels white peoples have no business teaching Spanish

Ask Altair. He brought it up.
The rest of us agreed this lady is nuts.

Modern Spanish is not even strictly Castillian. It has Hebrew, Arabic, Berber, Galician, proto-Portuguese, Basque, Italian, Gaelic, English and French loanwords.

She is a fat femanazi loser who probably couldn’t find a man and lives with 20 cats (Truth Stings). That is the face of who started the woke movement middle aged, middle class single white women.

Ooof, does this post represent the face of the right wing?
Hey!
My kid is driving me to the brink of insanity and I’m about ready to acquire some cats and a tent to pitch alongside woodland creatures myself.
I think you’re right about woke, though. It just doesn’t seem to me black or other liberals think the same or endorse the same causes as white liberals—at least not very often.
And teaching Spanish while white, hmm, somehow I’m not seeing a nonwhite or Hispanic liberal come up with that one.

Being woke just means you are aware of the racial injustices ingrained in our societal structures. The fact that some white liberals take that concept and do illogical and/or irrational actions doesn’t represent the majority of liberals, regardless of skin color.

That’s been the sum of the reactionary backlash against “wokeism” though- to assume the worst of even the most innocuous of studying of racial injustice.
Professors like this don’t help the cause of better understanding, though…that’s for sure.
But even if they didn’t exist, reactionaries would find a reason to be against better racial understanding.
Funny how you really can’t improve any issue unless you first discuss that the issue is real and exists- but somehow racism is supposed to stop if we pretend it isn’t happening anymore and never talk about it.

‘Woke’ is a ‘detached signifier’.
That’s the whole of the problem. It emerged rapidly from a specific context - that of mostly black men coming to terms with their tacit participation within a system biased against their existence, by ‘awakening’ to the perpetuation of it by their own survival decisions - by means of social media dissemination, which is already a media very likely to strip away context and background.
Then, it was weaponized as a replacement (further stripping context) by and for people who know that their attempts at clock-reversal to when ‘America Was Great’ are doomed to abject, public and humiliating failure. Unless stasis, that is.
The right takes systemic racism too personally. Its like if someone points out a house is filled with asbestos insulation and that the insulation should be replaced and the person reacts by being like… “I didn’t install that asbestos! It’s not my fault, why should I feel guilty about?! Eh, its fine. There’s no asbestos that needs replacing.”

It’s less ‘the right’ than it is ‘wherever the Lost Cause has spread its tendrils’.

To be fair, the more extreme forms of wokeism ask for such a reaction.
Hence this lady’s response that she as a white woman can’t teach Spanish to minorities anymore because she’s participating in a power dynamic.
That’s twisted.
Nothing gets solved if I’m told I can’t help eliminate any type of systemic racism because I’m white and being propped up by that systemtically racist system.
Or if I’m told that if I do help, it’s because I’ve discerned I can get some personal value, and I’m actually unconsciously trying to uphold the system that confers advantage on me, and I’m only giving the minority a “hollow victory”.
These types of conversations happen- I’ve been in them.
They get us nowhere.
Whites need to take systemic racism as a concept less personally.
Blacks need to stop making it personal by using their “hammer” lens to see “nails” everywhere.

Someone says “white supremacy” and Tucker hears “white republican”.
