They aren’t misusing citizens’ private data. They have photos of illegal immigrants who have had some brush with the law who they want to deport but who are hiding from the sentences allotted to them by laws enacted by the Congress.
They have a computer that searches the driver licence data base for matching pics. The algorithm ignores the pics of legal residents, including all citizens. It only red flags criminal illegals and throws up their details.

Give up my country? This country has been welcoming immigrants before both of us were born. And your suggestion that it’s being done for votes is pretty slimy. That is definitely not the reason. As I said, we have a tradition of welcoming immigrants.

any law enforcement technique can be abused, when it is used to go after non-criminals. That is no reason to abandon those techniques in the pursuit of criminals, only to be vigilant they aren’t abused and used against innocents.

What if they use it to keep track of those who stockpile what they feel is an excessive number of firearms? US citizens that have not yet broken any laws but fit certain profiles.
