ICE has this stuff wired

Of the millions Biden brought in or granted “parole”, how many have you questioned like this?

Google AI:
In Fiscal Year 2024 (October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024), the United States resettled 100,034 refugees, representing 80% of the goal of 125,000 set by President Biden Refugee Council USA. This number is significantly higher than the 75,100 refugees admitted in the previous year. The 100,034 refugees in FY24 were resettled from 81 different countries. “

These 59 are a problem

Meanwhile, protestors (rioters if they had been at the Capitol building) gathered again at the detention center in New Jersey.

“Dozens of clergy members protested outside an ICE facility in Newark, N.J., on Monday, saying they would continue to block the gates accessing the facility until they are arrested.

The group is composed of roughly 50 clergy members from Faith in N.J. and Faith in Action. They linked arms outside the main gate of Delaney Hall Detention Center as they chanted and sang songs.

Several speakers also said prayers for the inmates inside the facility and condemned their detention.“

Whose detention were they rioting about?

“In response to Fox News’ reporting on the events on Monday, Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin asked, “Who do they want released from Delaney Hall? The child rapists, murderers, drug traffickers, MS-13 gang members or known terrorists?”

What you will NOT find here is some ICE agent hiding behind a door and shooting some unarmed female protestor.
And if one of the ICE agents has a heart attack in the next week, you will not read about the deadly riot with police being killed.

Most college grads I see today have a hard time with it. Ever read an email from a 20something? They have trouble writing English too.

Mayor of Newark got arrested there. The arrest of some Congresscritters who also participated in the “activity” is also on the table.

When people walked through the Capitol building it was more than “on the table”. These people are interfering with the functioning of the government. Where’s the cry of “subversive conspiracy”.
And yet it’s the Democrats now going all “weaponized government” and “police state” when Trump hasn’t pulled half of what was done by the Biden administration.

insanity

in·san·i·ty /inˈsanədē/ noun
the state of doing the same thing again and again for 70 years and thinking “This time the results will be different.”

Your melting pot.

Oh look! A new, even worse threat!

Centgov is going to need more emergency power!

Emerges as Miller is pushing suspending habeas corpus. Coincidence.

“Anti tren”

It’s so transparent.

One of the defining episodes of this message board over the decades was the Iraq invasion. People - mostly cons, but some libs too - bought into the hype, the cartoon drawings of mobile WMD labs, and all the rhetoric and fear mongering…fight them over there…dirty bombs!..all presented without evidence. The Patriot Act came along and generally, we handed over rights in fear.

As time went on, and it became apparent that these claims and cartoons were at best baseless, and at worst, lies, slowly the support slipped way, and like a slow turning ship, years later, labeling people who challenged the invasion or the PA terrorist scum was forgotten. In fact, these challenges became virtuous! Became coveted badges and stolen valor became rampant.

I certainly understand why, as a country, these lessons could be forgotten. We are a large country, there’s a lot to do to get through life. It’s easier to trust in the voices on the radio…

But this board…a handful of political junkies who lived this metamorphosis…why don’t we learn?

Try as I might, I can’t hold Norman back any longer.

It is kind of mandatory to be successful in this country.

You LIBs are so damned smart. Why can’t we all strive to be more like you?

Why are you asking me?

The ankle biters are out today.

Currently, that person is Trump. The next DEM president will get to make that determination when they are in office.

I don’t. It’s not my job to know.

There’s a much more recent example. A couple in fact.

Did you?

You asked, “Why would you want to welcome those who refuse to assimilate?”, that assumes we would know which groups will assimilate and those that won’t before allowing them into the country. The Trump administration seems to know that the South Africans will assimilate better than other groups.

Let’s use the BBC since the subject is the UK.

…and what’s happening with China, that has the largest trade deficit with us?

Do your news sources not provide you this exciting news? :sunglasses: :tumbler_glass:

My question assumes no such thing.

Good for them. The next DEM administration will get to make their policy as well.

If you are thinking of COVID, there is a very material difference between COVID and the ‘War on Terror’.

One killed over a million Americans, one killed 4-5 thousand.

One was temporary suspensions of rights, one we’re still living with today.

I try.
