Trump should come out and make a statement to address these low IQ freeloaders. Steal groceries during the shutdown means you get your three free meals a day in jail AND you lose all government cheese for a lifetime.

Maybe this is food for a different thread, but I think EBT should return to physical products that the recipient picks up at a warehouse – and limit those products to cheese, rice, flour, beans, and other specific staples. The “E” in EBT is too easy to defraud. If a welfare recipient wants to share his cheese and beans with his in-laws, let him.
Watch all the whatabouts come popping up now with excuse after excuse why physical food to SNAPpers is unfair.

I’m sure there’ll be some unrest and incidents. Being a Kroger/Albertsons/Publix employee might just become a bit stressful. For the majority productive and useful though it will pass unnoticed.
After all is said and done, they are all that matters. It is their work that provides the manna for the indolent baby factories anyway.

I’ve thought that as well. The fraud and waste would go right out the door. For those who can’t drive, an Instacart type of system could be incorporated.

I was thinking the same.
They would use the excuse like no way to get there, just like they claimed no way to get a voter ID.
I bet the fraud and waste in EBT, SS,Medicaid, Medicare etc. equals or surpasses ALL the other white-color crimes in America.
No excuse for it in the age of AI and computers.
I bet if they were ran by private bussines that wouldn’t be the case.
