This all goes back to 4D Chess I think?

Gosh. I don’t know. It seems to be doing just fine here. A new coal power plant just went on line this summer about a hundred miles down the road and another one is in warm-up test status not a mile from my house.

Coal plants are sure booming in China as well as India, I don’t think they got the climate change memo.

Building work has restarted at hundreds of Chinese coal-fired power stations, according to an analysis of satellite imagery.

The research, carried out by green campaigners suggests that 259 gigawatts of new capacity are under development in China.

The authors say this is the same capacity to produce electricity as the entire US coal fleet.

The study says government attempts to cancel many plants have failed.

Trump said, “I don’t see any reason why it would be” Russia that interfered in the election.

Any chance that will cut into the socialist checks all Alaskans receive from the oil revenue just for being alive?

That would be a shame.

Right because Alaskans should just give the oil companies unfettered access to their resources without any compensation. If you have an issue with how the State government of Alaska deals with the oil companies maybe you should take that up with your state’s representatives.

Do residents of coal mining states get checks for unfettered access to thier resources?

Did their state representatives negotiate with the coal companies for them like Alaska’s did with the oil companies? Jealousy doesn’t do much. If your state representatives aren’t representing you, that isn’t Alaskans’ fault.

Socialism is cool at the state level.

It’s not socialism, it’s capitalism. Money in exchange for goods. Socialism would be giving oil companies unfettered rights “for the common good.”

well kind of but in reverse because the tax payer is paying to subsidize old failing coal

Like the coal companies get.

And some state governments are willing to give up the farm in exchange for tax revenues from jobs created. Look at Oregon.

Again, if you have an issue with how those states are handling it, you’d have to take it up with their governments.
