Wrong. I’ve had Covid. So while you’re out getting your x booster shot, I’ll continue fighting the virus and it’s variants with my antibodies. I hope your boosters continue to help you.
That is great that you have natural immunity! However, not everyone can take the risk of going through the gauntlet.
I got the vaccine because at the time (early Spring of this year), I was immunocompromised. Specifically I couldn’t make antibodies against Streptococcus pneumoniae, a bacterium that causes pneumonia. I was getting reoccurring infections. I couldn’t risk getting COVID on top of that so my allergist/immunologist gave me vaccines for both. I feel great now.
No, what it is, is we are finding out who really cares about others, and who is only in it for themselves.
I’m conservative as all getup, and I wants vaccines forced in this emergency. Why? Because I actually care about the people that could potentially die from this stuff.
The people that are screaming ‘my body my choice’ are just selfish IMHO. They claim they don’t want the govt in their lives, yet they will be the first wanting the govt to pay for their COVID when they get sick.
Too late, you don’t rule the world, every American can get vaxxed and we will still be getting variants and breakthrough infections from around the globe.
Why not?
Many diabetics developed it from bad diet, not exercising, etc. While one CAN possibly get AIDS from blood products, the majority got it from unprotected sex. On heart disease, if their lifestyle caused it, why not?
In other words, you are just fine with putting these rules on those that don’t get the vaccine, no mention on those that cannot take it due to medical issues, but no excuses right? Take it or pay the penalty. Yet for those that led unhealthy lives and developed diabetes, caught AIDS, or as in diabetics, heart disease for those that live an unhealthy lifestyle.
Why just the covid vaccine? Why not all other preventable diseases/conditions?
No, but they do happen a helluva lot more than you think they do.
ACL tears happen a lot more often in incidents I just described then they do on the football field or basketball court.
And there are people born with Type 1 diabetes every day pal.
I’m also the point man in my grocery store for blood spills. You will not believe how often those happen pal. Someone slips on a sugar spill, and cuts themselves on a sharp corner on a grocery shelf. Or a worker cuts themselves with a knife. Guess who has to clean that all up? Me. And yes I take every precaution in the world, but I can still get sprayed on if you get my drift.
