Investing money into renewable energy at a time when energy costs are through the roof is definitely the wrong move.

Democrats have been shutting down nuclear power plants and the White House is actually celebrating high gas prices. You cannot run a 21st century superpower on windmills, and the green energy policy that progressives lust after is a death sentence and only enriches the likes of China and Russia.

These moron Left wing politicians think they can magically flip a switch and transition to green energy in a few years. They also believe by the US doing that they will save the world! Most of these idiots don’t have any clue that so-called green energy isn’t as green as they believe and that much of the rest of the world is in no hurry to transition.

There is no magic switch. It will take resources and time.

Imo the best solution is to promote domestic manufacturing of green energy products, update the power grid, install as much green energy on an accelerated time scale as possible, replace coal with natural gas plants to fill in gap energy needs and invest heavily on transitioning our transportation network off of fossil fuel as much as possible.

I am not a purist and I know that fossil fuel use will never go down to zero but the less carbon emissions there are per year… the less worse it will be in the future.

None of this is going to happen. So don’t worry about it.

If it wasn’t for his social issues, Joe Manchin would be the perfect senator IMHO. I don’t mind the government making investments, I do however mind when they try to create winner and losers. The government should not actively be trying to make the fossil fuel industries be losers. We will get off fossil fuels when the market determines it.

The government has (wisely IMO) spent decades - like 6 decades - making sure the US oil industry was a winner.

Government regulates pharma companies and gives incentives to pharma companies who comply, and it’s only those elected pols, aka Congress, that make bank by personally investing in Big Pharma. It’s a vicious cycle of deception when primarily Democrat pols demonize big businesses like pharma (& oil) while capitalizing on the profits they make in their personal portfolio’s
