I Have A Question About "Vigilante"

All in the discussions about The Kenosha Kid, a lot of people are throwing the word “vigilante” around like it’s a bad thing.

Why?

Really?

Lynching is American vigilanteism at it’s logical conclusion, and virulent heights.
Not a very pretty picture.

I think the point is that a presence of a thing (mini skirt, gun) does not naturally lead to a negative outcome (rape, shooting).

The analogy fails though, because the presence of the thing is passive, but while the skirt remains a skirt, the gun can become an active factor.

Imagine what could happen next riot season though: protestors show up with guns, anti protesters show up with guns, and in the blink of an eye, we have Beiruit.

In many cities it would be a matter of the lib mayors Allowing the cops to do their jobs.

The BS in Portland should have been stopped long ago for example.

Round all those burning, looting, and beating up and prosecute them to the hilt og the law.

So in Texas that case of suspecting someone committed a crime and chasing them down would not be a citizens arrest, as no actual crime was seen being performed.

I could see that come-back coming from a mile away when Z made his reply.

On one level, you’re right. He didn’t live there. On the other hand I would say that R’house responded to the threat that was spreading throughout nation – the national community. And that threat was a mix of spreading riots and evaporating law enforcement during those riots.

It needed to stop. It STILL needs to stop. (Did you see the report that rioters cornered cops in a garage yesterday?) Law Enforcement has been neutered by policy. It encourages citizens to step up and fill that void. Stop it “over there” before it reaches “here”.
