No Samm, just wishing for some of the decorum and mutual respectulness of the old days. You remember when you could have an opinion, share your opinion and I could adamantly disagree, and we were both ok. I know I am no angel from time to time in standing up for myself. I give as good as I get, but then I have a hard time justifying being as nasty to others as they were to me, or to other posters. Ive posted a lot less the past couple of weeks…because why bother. Im not leaving. Been around since feb of 2003. I like too many people here to walk away. So i may comment here and there…express my opinion here or there…but I am working hard not to get into the mud with others. We’ve always had a mutual respect. For as long as I can remember a Samm being here.

That’s admirable and I agree with you. But human nature being what it is, particularly in an anonymous setting such as this, one can only take so much abuse before responding in kind. And yes, that works both ways, but (in my 22+ years here) the abuse usually (there are exceptions … ) originates on the left. And I for one, have never been one to back away from a bully (or a troll) whether in the real world or the virtual.

He should have a body cam.
He should not be holding his phone up instead of paying attention to the situation at hand.
Body cameras have been ICE policy since February 2025. With a budget larger than many countries militaries, it’s ridiculous they aren’t wearing them yet. Maybe if Ross was wearing a body cam instead of playing with his phone, he wouldn’t have killed Good.

It’s still so crazy to me how much this administration has ■■■■■■ up the border issue. All Trump had to do was tighten up the border (something voters extremely hated Biden for not doing) and then not alienate voters with other policies. This strategy alone might have kept republicans in power for a decade.
But naw, they went full scorched earth with ICE and destroyed any public support they might have gained. Such a monumental screw up.
There is never going to be any agreement between those who see this as over reaction by ICE and those who feel it was justified.
What bother me more is the giddy way a lot of Trump supporters on social media have revelled in the death of this woman.
