Personally…I realize I’m not mentally mature enough to be a landlord. :sunglasses: :tumbler_glass:

With the millions of illegals being allowed in rental properties are at a premium i imagine.

Makes it hard on legit citizens though.

Drives rentals thru the roof i would imagine.

With OBiden turning America into a 3rd world dumping ground this is it.
Get used to it. Shut your mouth and pay the taxes you’re assessed.
It’s the welfare state suckers

These investors know the demographic that would borrow to buy a home can’t so they will rent.
They also know illegals will occupy rental properties paid for by the government funded by taxpayers.
It’s as if it were all planned.

Probably part of the biden plan.

People, including investors and corporations, tend to by homes when
in one neighborhood they cost 100 time rent
and in another they cost 150 times rent
etc…

(Why be a landlord when you make only x compared to price?"
Why be a tenant when it costs on y times your monthly rent to own a home?)

Whatever that number is (varies by neighborhood) the graph above shows that on a nationwide scale, home prices have risen a LOT faster than rent, which means, compared to times past:

  • Right now is a terrible time to buy or hold, and a good time to sell.
  • Right now is a good time to be a tenant, and a terrible time to buy.

And yet, some pretty big investment firms are making some pretty big bets on rental real estate.

FWIW the units involved are high-rise building in (or adjacent to) major cities.

This picture of San Fran accompanied one of the stories

And this is one of the properties in Miami Fl.
