Okay thanks for confirming he did not tell anyone to riot. If I were there at the rally. I would not have heard riot in that message. Case closed. The left often hears dog whistles that don’t actually exist.

Did the deficit increase or decrease following those cuts?
I’m happy you remain unconcerned with what others hear. I’ll keep listing republicans who announce they are for impeachment anyways.

uh, yeah
Turns out what happened on the sixth was kinda big deal…Trump over played his hand
Personally I think it will be a short term loss, but potential long term gain for Trump…Trump’s playbook is to take things to the edge, normalize behavior and then double down
I’m honestly kind of torn on this whole impeachment thing. After what he did last week, part of me wants him just to ride into the sunset, a dismal failure, never to be heard from again. The other part of me thinks there needs to be consequences for his actions. Either way, as long as he’s gone after the 20th, I can live with either scenario.

Trump not only lost Presidency he also cost the GOP the Senate…naturally you move away from a loser and what happened in the Capitol gives way to the perfect exit
But Trumps next play will be interesting…I do not see him walking away from the influence he carries on the average GOP voter
I heard a segment of him talking to reporters today talking about how this was just another segment of the “witch hunt” … yada yada yada…
He hasn’t learned one damn thing through all of this - which, granted, I kind of expected.

Surprised at so many GOP people committing political suicide.

I’d argue they sealed their destiny when gave the keys to Trump.

I said as much during the 2016 primaries, they were toast the minute they gave him the nod.

My guess its more than what happened on the sixth that turned McConnell. He has to consider that he might still be in charge of the Senate if Trump had gone peacefully. And he can’t help but notice that Trump’s “help” in Georgia might not have been so much help after all.
McConnell is thinking about McConnell and the Senate, not Trump.
Who gave Trump the nod? It was Republican primary voters who did that. Shot to the top of the field and never looked back. The base finally found somebody who would say he hated the same people they hated.
He proved to be so popular that Republicans were afraid to cross him, not only for politics but for their own safety.
This is always how it had to end. All it needs now is a slow motion vehicle chase in a white Bronco with Rudy driving.
Arnold is a has been who is looking to get some attention. No conservative has ever listened to him.

Republicans weren’t playing offense. They were playing defense. Demographics
Please, please, cut to the chase.
I said at the beginning that Trump would rue the day he decided to run for POTUS.
McConnell I believe is turning against him. And that opens the door for other Senate R’s to do the same.
His brand is going down the tubes. His final couple of banks are getting away from him fast.
He has hundreds of millions of bucks coming due on multiple properties.
He will be blamed for the R’s losing control of the Senate.
And what will happen if either the NY AG and/or the Manhattan AG has the goods on him?
He will still have his core support. But those numbers have fallen.
I really wonder if he will have much control of the party a year from now.

See this is the part I don’t get about the claims of the “protest” being infiltrated. The whole point was to keep Trump in office longer. Democrats want him out of office yesterday.
