If they can indict president’s son for gun charges, they can come after you too.

I support honoring laws that are on the books, always have. He will have his day in court and he is innocent till proven guilty just like Trump.
The real irony here is that the first thing Hunter’s going to do is move to dismiss under Bruen.

Great news for the First Crackhead though! His lawyer is a graduate of The Frankfurt School West!

Hasn’t Brandon been carrying on about harsher punishments for gun crimes?
Actually, you only get prosecuted if you are the President’s son.
In 2018, when Hunter filed his false information, 112,090 people were denied a gun because of “falsified information” on ATF Form 4473. Of those, 12,719 were referred to ATF for prosecution. Of those, 12 were prosecuted. Every one of those 12 cases involved “aggravating circumstances” – either a violent felony or multiple serious offenses – which don’t apply to Hunter Biden.
Given that none of more than 100,000 non-violent people who lied on Form 4473, how can one explain the prosecution of Hunter Biden other than the decision of Republicans to use him as a political piñata?
After all the whining about two standards of justice, this provides an unarguable case.

Was Hunter denied a gun, or did he lie and still get a gun, which promptly found it’s way into a.dumpster?

Good find. Amazing the pretense of looking to “history and tradition” to rule that prohibiting intoxicated citizens from possessing a gun is okay, but recently intoxicated citizens is a step too far. That’s waving a magic wand to reach a palatable result.

No issues here if he goes to jail for violating gun laws.
I do think those that choose to be in the public eye should get stiffer sentences for deterrent purposes. Not sure if Hunter chose to be a public figure like his dad but he sure as heck used his dads position to enrich himself. Like so many family members of politicians.
Its obvious the guy is a ■■■■■■ so honestly I dont really care what happens to him.

In my opinion the gun charges are a DOJ/Administration tactic to deflect from the larger problem with the whole Biden family.
The gun charges encourage everyone to look in that direction. He’ll get convicted. Minor penalty relative to what could have been. And then the narrative will be: “We got him. Now everyone go away. Nothing else to see.”
To be blunt, I don’t give a crap about Hunter’s foibles. It’s Brandon and widespread Dem corruption that’s getting protected here.
