For those who have taken the political compass test, there is a common frame of reference. One quick look at someone’s Political Compass graph can be very revealing.
Murkowski is a registered Republican and is Conservative on some issues and Liberal on others.
Most every registered Republican would be in the same boat. Conservative on some issues and Liberal on others. Obviously, there will be individual differences in which issues one leans right or left.
Within that context, I fail to see how claiming to be a Conservative registered Republican makes me anything like Murkowski.
And before you say that registered Republicans are conservative on every issue, you only have to look at the Political Compass thread results to see that isn’t true. By comparison, with one exception, I’m to the right of everyone who took the test.
I believe we are on the same page. Long before I took my first Political Compass test (probably about 15 years ago), I knew where I stood on the issues. My first test results really weren’t much of a surprise.
About 10 years ago I put my test results in my Avatar. I don’t even recall what prompted me to do that. Over the years, I’ve retaken the test a few more times. My right/left results really haven’t changed that much. However, I have found that I’m moving towards Libertarian and away from Authoritarian as I get older.
So arrogantly thinking people are stupid requires a chart?
Being a victim requires a chart?
Not trying to be difficult. Really not understanding why some people think they must do s powerpoint presentation to convey their beliefs to others. Makes no sense. Why not just talk to them instead of talking at them?
Slate magazine from the end of Trump’s first term, per Foxnews:
“The liberal news blog Slate even speculated that Trump pardoning his children could “make him a bigger criminal target,” writing “If Trump were to distribute such broadly worded pardons liberally among his circle, he would make them all subject to subpoena to testify about not only their own conduct, but his.”
I’m way too lazy to look through this whole thread to figure out how my tongue in cheek post about wind power generation from five years ago is relevant to a discussion about Hunter Biden getting pardoned.
I’m being ornery with @Zippy. He seems to be on some kind of a quest to paint me as some big lib who loves Biden and hates Trump.
I figured I would pull his chain and link to some blasts from the past, where I lit up the airwaves in support of Trump. One of my favorites Is your Wind Power thread.
