My point was that there’s a smugness that is conveyed in the writing that I find overbearing and rude. My takeaway from the review is, “If you like this, you’re stupid.”
I’m far from a Trump voter and I avoid Times Square like the plague, but if someone like me picks up on that message from the review, I’m guessing I’m not the only one.
(And I’m using the one article to make a point on general communication style)
