Not really that much difference between the two.

No-excuse mail-in voting in Arizona was passed by a Republican controlled Legislature and signed into law by a Republican Governor back in 1991. Republicans who have won this state with no-excuse mail-in voting include GHWBush in 1992, GWBush in 2000 and in 2004, McCain in 2008, Romney in 2012 and Trump in 2016. Did these Republicans legitimately win Arizona with no-excuse mail-in voting??

With the majority people getting a text message when their mail-in ballot has been received, verified, and counted, it is more secure these days then it was back in the 1990s and early 2000s.
