No it isn’t. Look at Michigan and Wisconsin for the GOP, New York for the Dems. The elite stay in power because they draw the lines. Voters are helpless in states with extreme gerrymandering.

In Michigan, GOP is using our petition laws to repeal the law the Governor is using to rule the state with emergency powers. If the petition process didn’t exist, they would be helpless.

These are checks against the powerful.

Some like Alabama’s simply need to be burned.

A constitution is a framework that lays out the rules on how a government will work. Laws are where government actions occur, and I don’t know what state you live in, but there are laws passed all the time.

My state has reserved the power of governance to the people. There are three ways to petition the government, referendum, ballot proposals, and constitutional amendments.

I notcied this is old and not reading every post. But I did read the OP which honestly -I want to copy and paste on a different site about “Why the need for a ERA”.
I actually have bene indifferent to the ERA -But this guy just outlined why he doesnt think the conistution gurantees equal rights for women.
