Clean up the boards? If a thread doesn’t get interest if disappears. Are we trying to save storage space for mostly ASCII content, in 2020?

Shouldn’t youtube clean up first? All those high bandwidth videos nobody watches.

It was interesting when Pichai, Dorsey and Zuckerberg appeared before Congress a couple of weeks ago.
They really tried their best to convince the members that they are doing everything in their power to regulate the content on their platforms. They are all scared ■■■■■■■■ that the government will put regulations in place.

As they should, FB was shameless in repressing political speech they don’t agree with this cycle If they didn’t ban it, they stuck a warning on it supplied by liberal “fact check” experts. Disgraceful. Apparently “liberals” love corporate censorship though.

Not really. Liberals want to pass laws that help folks that need help. And they promote free speech.
Progressives on the other hand want government to control corporations. So when you hear that all Liberals are progressives it is really not true.

Simple question to clear that up. Should Facebook and Twitter be permitted to censor otherwise lawful speech they don’t like? Which is really no different than if say Chipotle decided to ban anyone wearing Trump hats. I say no. If you open to the general public, accommodate them. Gays or Trump supporters.

The question becomes permitted by whom? I believe in free speech. But it is their sandbox and they make the rules. At this time I don’t believe that government should be involved in regulating social media.
They have a issue before them. What is responsible? I think that Twitter making a statement that some of Trump’s tweets are edited because they contain falsehoods is valid because they do allow you to look at the content if you want.

Do you feel government has a role in say net neutrality?

I hope he doesn’t get us into a war but he is more hawkish than Trump than being said it doesn’t mean he will and I hope he don’t.

Let’s be honest, if he does elected Republicans will be on board. Most likely. Trumps anti war stance was unique in the party. Well almost, like him and Rand Paul.

IMHO, net neutrality is dangerous. There is a fine line here. Republicans most of the time say that without regulations corporations will self-regulate. And we saw what happened with the housing bubble.
I am not convinced that net neutrality created a level playing field. I would first like to see the government get together with the world to establish global laws to fight global hacking. It is one thing for a government to protect their own resources. But there is just way too much hacking on multi-national corporations that has to stop and the folks responsible face justice And that might lead to a good solution to what people consider a “open internet”. .

I think that Biden will make it clear to Russia that they better behave themselves. And do the same with NK. I think that he will look towards a new establishment of the JCPOA. But bottom line is that Biden is more concerned about where we are with the virus then where we are with FP.

Lol, hey Russian you better behave or I’ll start ww3 and we all die? No thanks. Plus, Russians are entitled to free speech and I have zero appetite for my government to censor them. There is a country that does that sort of thing, China.

Bombing brown people over the last 16 out of 20 years has done wonders for China’s oil and precious metal market. It will absolutely resume under a Chinese puppet administration.

What’s the big deal about having some wars in the middle east? More Americans die from the flu each year than do from war.

I’d say that was his most unforgiveable sin regarding the establishment Republicans.

Well A soup sandwich just got elected
