Who said anything about a two-variable analysis? And no, the downplay attempt you make here is not really a good analogy. I’ll reserve my judgment on the book after reading it, but I have little doubt in my mind that Russia’s attack in 2016 impacted the election results. To what degree would be impossible to accurately quantify. But a solid analysis can absolutely point to conclusive inferences.
