They don’t have to sneak in from India there is enough H1B visas floating around to make sure they get here. And here they do especially in my industry of IT. When I worked for a fortune 100 company I have spoke about this before and put up photos 98 Indians worked on my floor of around 103 people. Triple that worked on offshore many of which were under my watch as team lead.

If they would cut the H1B visas in half a lot more Americans would be at the bigger companies who constantly go around the rules of looking for and American worker to do the job before bringing in H1B visas. I am surprised the Democratic Party doesn’t crack down more on this. At least Obama seem to have a grasp of the problem so I give him an A for bringing it up constantly although he could have hammered them harder.

I also find healthcare IT is worse with H1B visas than pure tech companies.
