I think giving them recycled tanks and bombs is ok.
They have to be replaced after a while anyway.
And feeding the kidsâŚI am all for it.
But support for lesbiens in Guatemala or voting practices in Bangladesh needs to go.
Thatâs a waste of hard-earned dollars.
Wow, I wonder, when was the first transcontental railway finished?
When was the national highway system completed?
Those âroadsâ you mentioned were often nothing more than dirt paths.
Btw:
The first concrete street in America is Court Avenue in Bellefontaine, Ohio. It was paved in 1893 and is located adjacent to the Logan County Courthouse. The paving was spearheaded by George Bartholomew, who convinced the city council to try concrete as an alternative to brick.
I live 25ish mins from there btw. Notice it was paid for by local govt.
Billionaires overwhelmingly support Pubs over Dems One party cuts taxes and regulatioons, the other party raises taxes and enforces regulations.
Of the total $1.9 billion spent by Americaâs richest families on all federal campaigns, $1.36 billion (72%) went to support Republicans while Democrats were buoyed by about $413 million (22%). (The remaining 6% backed Robert F. Kennedy Jr.âs presidential bid and other causes). Like their standard bearers, Republican congressional candidates generally back lowering taxes on the rich and corporations, while Democrats seek to raise them.
Iâm a believer in that most things ultimately come down to system design. We find problems and we design systems to fix said problems.
Money was solving the problem of making capital portable. Of making capital exchange easier with a standardized system that anyone could easily understand. I have 100 dollars and this item is 80 dollars. Basically imo.
I think the issue comes for me comes down to the fact the system of âmoneyâ interchange doesnât really consider human rights in the equation. And thus, this may sound socialist of me, I donât think everything should be based on the idea of money. For example I think healthcare should be completely separated from the idea of money and finance. Because from that standpoint, itâs always a net loss financially on the system. But as humans, we should have a fundamental right to medical care when we need it.
Thatâs true. But the issue is how do we reconcile the need for healthcare with the idea of taxation for public good? If we go to the logical extreme with this, the state wouldnât have any organs at all. No military, no NASA, no justice system, etc.
