We have nothing to do with how other countries handle the pandemic.
I know that most of what you say is not true in this country.
Day laborers are eligible for state and federal unemployment. They are raking in at least $800 a week. More than they have ever made before.
Everyone can buy alcohol. Liquor stores have remained open every place I know of and grocery stores are open everywhere.
This lock down has exposed just how tyrannical our goverment is. When you have a woman Shelley Luther being arrested, fined 7 grand and 7 days in jail for opening her hair salon.
The judge Moyé
Moyé asked Luther if she was still operating to this day.
“Yes, partially," Luther said.
Moyé told Luther she was both criminally and civilly in violation of his order.
He said Luther could not just take matters into her own hands because she decided that’s what she wanted to do.
Then went on to say this.
“The rule of law governs us. People cannot take it upon themselves to determine what they will and will not do,” said Moyé.
And then people wonder why people show up with arms…
The same reason the Fed has been focused on keeping the Stock market alive instead of helping the working stiffs who are losing their incomes? Best government money can buy, as usual. Yes, I know the Fed isn’t part of the Federal Government, however, the Federal Government is one of their biggest customers, at our expense, I might add.
I mean sure, they recently pushed for reversing Regulation D so poor people can start using their savings accounts like checking accounts again. Because obviously, that’s going to solve everything.
Emergency payments for just about everyone other than the wealthy.
That’s more protection for workers than we’ve ever seen in a crisis before.
Most importantly for the first time ever small businesses are being specifically protected instead of the money all going to banks and big corporations.
This is the most complete and well targeted rescue package ever put together.
What do you suggest? We give them all a raise from here? I don’t think you understand. I have friends in India. They tell me it’s getting desperate. Most of the people they know live on less than $25-$50 a MONTH. They are stuck with that life in a country of over a billion people.
You CAN’T fix the problems they have. You just don’t know what it’s like. They have rich, poor, & in between, but they have mostly poor. It’s amazing actually they feed as many as they do.
If we had their population we would likely have much of the same as they. Land is expensive, in many cases more than here, because there is so many people, there’s not as much available as here. It’s out of reach to own a home. If they don’t work, they don’t eat. Period. The government CAN’T pay for mass aid.
