Just how important is money in US Politics?

It has also been reported that Wall Street Dem Donors will support Trump if Warren is nominated.
It looks to me that Trump has the money, but so did Clinton. How confident are you that Warren or Bernie will be able to beat Trump and all the money that he is raising?
I never thought Trump would be able to beat Hillary though, so I guess stranger things have happened.
Impeachment is all politics and I have a feeling this is gonna cost the dems.
