You can’t prove a negative.

As I was reading the article, the first thing that crossed my mind is that most of us are blessed to not need even a single lawyer in our lives. Can’t imagine a life so complicated an entire team is needed, and when five of the team leaves it is not a big deal.

Yeah. I saw that. It seems Trump wants to turn his impeachment trial into a platform for his election fraud claims.

Are you saying they did an audit without comparing signatures on the ballot?

That alone should motivate Republicans to impeach.

He hasn’t given up. Probably planning another insurrection.

Didn’t plan the any, let alone ‘another’.

He doesn’t need a defense.

This is Pam Bondi’s big opportunity to show the world she’s very serious.

From the beginning of his presidency, I was always calling to him, “Don’t chase the lie!” The Democrats, the FBI, the Media kept tossing lies at him…and he kept chasing them. Best way to treat someone throwing a lie is to not chase it.

The democrats are now putting themselves in total control of election security. Single party tyranny is on the way.

Absolutely true.

When asked to quote the phrase which launched the riot, the dems could not. so there’s that.

LOL. It’s almost as if there are papers written on Trump’s denial of both implicature and literal meaning. He can never be held accountable for anything he’s said. Perfect defense.

LOL. Would you would be so kind to tell me what was the most fiery, riot inspiring quote that Trump made during the rally?

Thanks in advance.

Point proven. Yet again. Thanks!

Pointless but, just for fun, here are some quotes from Trump prior to the Capitol attack:

All of us here today do not want to see our election victory stolen by a bold and radical left Democrats which is what they are doing and stolen by the fake news media. That is what they have done and what they are doing. We will never give up. We will never concede. It doesn’t happen. You don’t concede when there’s theft involved.

We want to go back and we want to get this right because we’re going to have somebody in there that should not be in there and our country will be destroyed and we’re not going to stand for that.

Because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong.

We will not be intimidated into accepting the hoaxes and the lies that we’ve been forced to believe.

You will have an illegitimate president. That is what you will have, and we can’t let that happen.

Let them get out. Let–let the weak ones get out. This is a time for strength. They also want to indoctrinate your children in school by teaching them things that aren’t so. They want to indoctrinate your children. It’s all part of a comprehensive assault on our democracy and the American people are finally standing up and saying no. This crowd is, again, a testament to it.

The radical left knows exactly what they were doing. They are ruthless and it’s time that somebody did something about it. And Mike Pence, I hope you’re going to stand up for the good of our constitution and for the good of our country.

And if you’re not, I’m going to be very disappointed in you. I will tell you right now. I’m not hearing good stories.

Together we are determined to defend and preserve government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

…I want to thank you very much, and they go off to some other life, but I said something is wrong here, something is really wrong, can’t have happened and we fight, we fight like hell, and if you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore.

So we are going to–we are going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue, I love Pennsylvania Avenue, and we are going to the Capitol, and we are going to try and give–the Democrats are hopeless, they are never voting for anything, not even one vote but we are going to try–give our Republicans, the weak ones because the strong ones don’t need any of our help, we’re try–going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country. So let’s walk down Pennsylvania Avenue.

That’s only what he said during the rally immediately before the Capitol attack. Could add plenty if things he said prior to that.

Like I said, nothing he said matters to his followers. The argument will remain that he didn’t literally say it or that he was joking/figurative. The same excuses used throughout his presidency - ultimately he is not responsible for anything he says.

This opinion is criminal? Why?

As I have read through your quotes, I cannot find a single one that rises to the criminal level. But I am interested in what you see as criminal in this one.

Exactly. A vote was going to take place and people were showing their support for a vote they were for. You know…kind of like it works in a democratic republic.

This is silly. What he said matters more to his opponents to the extent they apparently see a crime in everything you quoted.

Ninety-nine percent of those who support President Trump were simply letting the hundred percent who have no issues with the November election there is another perspective. This was about the election. Is it a crime to discuss the election and present alternative views?

No. What’s silly is the lack of context and the perceived infallibility of Trump by his followers.

Trump starts by saying the election was stolen. He goes on to list all the different debunked claims as to fraud. He further goes on to list all the local, state and Supreme Court actions which were unsuccessful. He then says Constitutionally there is nothing more that he can do.

The election was stolen and all legal/Constitutional means have been thwarted.

He peppers in repeated statements of he and his listeners not conceding, not giving up, not standing by while asking for showing strength, being strong, defending and fighting.

Trump makes the claim the election is fraudulent. He states all legal and Constitutional avenues have failed. He says not to give in and to show strength, defend and fight.
