Presidential election model that got it wrong once in 40 years predicts Trump 2020 win | Washington Examiner

Mark Zandi said that in October 2019. Here’s what he says now:
““The winner is Joe Biden. The [former] vice president beats Donald Trump, but it’s not a slam dunk,” he said. “So despite everything, despite double-digit unemployment, it’s still going to be a close election, at least according to our modeling.””

And he says this now:
"The next update of the Moody’s model, he said, will show Biden defeating Trump 279 to 259 — a win, but hardly a blowout, even despite the potential for mass joblessness on Election Day.

The relatively narrow margin, Zandi says, is because of a few factors working in Trump’s favor: He’s an incumbent, his base is sticking with him and the Electoral College favors him."

North Carolina and PA have been changed. Not a Peep from Maryland Dems though. They’re not going to change. No one is pressuring them. And the democrats love it. I’ll wager anything that Maryland will not change one bit. Because Dems won’t give up their power. Unlike other republican states.

N Carolina was forced to change, by court order. The original maps drawn were considered unconstitutional.

Pennsylvania, same story, the courts forced the districts to be redrawn due to heavily gerrymandered districts.

So, republicans, when forced by the courts, will do the right thing.

I do think Maryland should do something as well…

If so…

When citizens of Maryland disagree with a statute or legislative bill enacted by the state legislature, they can collect signatures to force the issue to a vote. If enough signatures are collected, the bill is placed on the statewide ballot.

A grim possibility if we keep on our present path is we’ll begin to see a global COVID decoupling, where much of Europe and Asia are mostly able to keep epidemics at bay but the U.S. can’t, and sees higher and persistent infection and slower GDP growth; and has a cordon sanitaire remain imposed on us from other nations. Trump’s failures are destroying us in so many ways right now.
