I can go for that IF selective service age is raised to match it.
People should get a chance to vote for the people who could potentially send them off to war against their will.

I’ve done blow with some super conservative people. And one my buddy’s (whom I’ve gotten pilled with numerous times back in my party days) is super right wing and still likes to get ■■■■■■ up.
Drug use isn’t conservative or liberal.

I’m talking about selective service age matching the voting age.
Congress could reinstate conscription anytime they want to.
It’s a threat of ultimate control by the state. The least the state can do is allow the people to vote on who could possibly send them to war in the future.
It’s the long game.
You cannot be sent off to war until you are in the service. Being signed up for selective service carries no such risk. But being drafted and inducted would give you the vote.
