House passes Military Construction-VA bill, cancels Friday votes

The House has left town for the August recess having passed only one appropriations bill, the Military Construction/VA bill. That is filled with anti-abortion riders and other crap that ensure that it will be dead on arrival in the Senate.

There are only 12 legislative days after the House returns before the September 30th deadline, at which point we will be back with continuing resolutions and omnibuses.

Absolutely zero chance of any appropriation bill becoming law. Very little chance the House GOP can even PASS any of the other appropriations bills due to the extremist crackpots in their own caucus who have already stopped any chance of votes on Friday.
