Politico had a similar article but interestingly enough the Breitbart article did not seem to include what Dubeck said about the $5,000. The below is copied from the Politico article.
In her letter, Dubeck also provided some details about the federal funding Bragg’s office has used in connection with Trump-related matters — money that House Republicans have suggested could now be under threat because of the indictment. Additionally, House Republicans received a second document on Friday detailing federal grant money the office has obtained.
None of that federal grant funding, she noted, has been used in the current investigation. She said the office has spent approximately $5,000 of federal funds — funds that the district attorney’s office helped recover during forfeiture actions — on expenses related to the investigation of Trump or the Trump organization.

That point alone opens the door to Congress.
How did they shuffle and hide those funds?

The biggest issue here is how flimsy the purported charges are.
Compared to others…even worse.
It’s difficult to get angry with an insane person and Bragg looks insane to me.
People are here singing the praise of insane while our Constitution is philosophically raped.
What funds ? The $5,000 that is explained here
If there was any secret funding then anyone involved in that needs to be held accountable.

Congress can take a look at that.

Bragg is going to let Trump escape for $5k?
They sure can and if they find it is exactly as Dubeck said then it will be interesting to see how the goalposts move.

Obviously not. He got him good.
Nobody is above Democrat law.
If what’s been reported is true about how Bragg got the misdemeanor charges elevated to felony charges, the felonies will eventually get tossed. And if it’s true, it gives valid reason to subpeona Bragg to the house.
From what’s been reported the falsifying a Business document charge is a misdemeanor which can only be elevated to a felony if the falsifying statements were made to cover up another crime. The crime alleged to be covered up is violations of federal campaign finance laws. The DOJ and FEC have both looked at the Stormy Daniels payments and decided there was no evidence of any violation of Federal law. In fact, the FEC has opined for there to have been a violation of campaign finance law Trump would have had to actually claim the money as a campaign expense or pay for it with campaign money and not claim it. Without that stretch to make it a felony, its not a felony.

Ok, how does that open up scrutiny from the House? Under what delegated power?

Using a malicious prosecution to interfere in a federal election, if that isn’t a crime it should be. Legislative purpose goal post achieved.

“Interfere”? Trump can run from a jail cell.

Right, so you don’t think that would impact his chances at all?

Can you prove it will? Or that it won’t improve them?
What is the delegated power for the House to get involved?
New York State election law. Not federal campaign finance.
It’s still a problem because the standard for the New York State election law may not be met.

Is that the only problem?
