Senator Cory Booker continued to face renewed criticism from his hometown of Newark, New Jersey in recent days; with furious residents saying the failing presidential candidate is absolutely “not for the people” he once represented.

The people of Newark have spoken, @CoryBooker.

They want you to:
-Prioritize the American citizens in your district instead of those in the city illegally.
-Stop focusing all of your energy on hating Trump!

Your district needs help!

“The people of Newark have spoken, @CoryBooker. They want you to:

-Prioritize the American citizens in your district instead of those in the city illegally.

-Stop focusing all of your energy on hating Trump! Your district needs help!” tweeted one filmmaker.

Statistically, Newark is near the top for the highest rates of murder, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, and car theft in the United States.

“They call this the end of the world down here,” said one resident. “Honestly, a lot of it has to do with the representation. When they get into office, they don’t do much. They talk a good talk, but they forget all about what they said they were going to do.”

One woman had particularly harsh words when asked if she was a fan of Booker.

“No, no! That’s a definite no! Cory Booker’s not for the people. Cory Booker is nothing — I wouldn’t even vote for him to become president or anything else.”

Cory Booker will share the debate stage in Houston, Texas in the weeks ahead with nine other challengers for the 2020 Democratic nomination; including Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, Julian Castro, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O’Rourke, and Andrew Yang.
