It seems that the split isn’t exactly along ideological lines. Some liberals thought it was tasteless, crude, and/or racist. Others just shrugged it off as a joke.

Conservatives seem to be on both sides as well.

It led to interesting conversation . . . for a while.

I do think she probably shouldn’t say that in public given her image of being out of touch. She may have joked like that with Obama but only in private.
