Those who are dreaming about another Hillary-Trump matchup in 2020 can stop. She’s not going to run, John Podesta told CNN. “I take her at her word. She’s not running for president,”he told the network. “I think she would have been a great president but that’s in the past and she said she’s not running.”
I never put any stock in the stories, especially given the sources were not top-level people. If Podesta says it, I believe it.
but apparently she’s telling others that she isn’t closing the door to running again.
“Clinton is telling people that she’s not closing the doors to the idea of running in 2020,” Zeleny said. “I’m told by three people that as recently as this week, she was telling people that look, given all this news from the indictments, particularly the Roger Stone indictment, she talked to several people, saying ‘look, I’m not closing the doors to this.’”
Hillary could clear it up by having an interview with CNN and not being indesisive, and plainly and flat out say she is not running.
Hillary keeps dropping hints (November, will you run again: I’d like to be president). Now apparently telling some people the door isn’t closed. Telling others she’s done.
When did she tell podesta? What exactally did she tell him? When did she tell these others? What did she tell them.
Hillary could stop everything with simple words “No I’m not going to run in 2020”.
odds of her running .0025 in my opinion. But she loves the publicity and won’t say dead certain she isn’t running.
She didn’t tell anyone. A guy said she did. And the guy whose statement was quoted by the media back in November is a lot less credible than Podesta. Why give any credence to this low-level guy rather than someone with real standing in the Clinton campaign? As someone mentioned in the first version of this thread, she’s about to become a grandmother again. She may make political statements here and there. That certainly is her right. But those statements or a questionable quote don’t make her a candidate unless she straight out says it.
My gut tells me she isn’t either. Like I said, I think she likes the attention she gets by not coming right out and saying from her own lips she isn’t running.
I don’t know where she is getting all this attention, unless it’s on right wing media outlets, because she sure isn’t mentioned on MSNBC, PBS, NPR, The New York Times or WAPO. I do know, from reading this board, that she is a major topic on right wing radio programs. Maybe that is why you believe she likes the attention.
This thread is proof it’s not the right wing media. Podesta went on CNN saying she’s not running. It was a CNN coraspondant who said she is leaving the door open. It was CNN urging her not to run again.
And your sayhing it’s RIGHT WING media??? When did CNN become right wing media???
