The trump-type is the trump-type because of his baggage and bad manners. (Or conversely, he has his baggage and bad manners because he is a trump-type.)

The guy who can stand up to the withering media onslaught isn’t going to be a Mr. Rogers-type. Pence would get eaten alive if he didn’t have Trump as a shield. Trump is to Pence what Jupiter is to earth in the way Jupiter absorbs so many asteroids and other space travelers that would otherwise hit earth. Pence, Cruz, Lee, Paul … none of them could withstand what Trump has (and will continue to absorb.)

What Trump does – including things that this nation needs in terms of standing up to the media – comes as part of a package. That package itself generates additional asteroids that shouldn’t even exist, but I just don’t see anyone else who could do what he has done, what he is doing, and what he will do in the future.
