Your quote in your first post:

To date, 1 million invaders have been allowed into the U.S. so far. Unchecked and unscreened.

That is not what the article says. It says that the CBP encountered 1 million. Do you really think that they just let them come in? The majority are immediately sent back if they are from Mexico.

You are correct…it’s not your claim. You are just the one here pretending all the encounters are being admitted into the country. It’s not based in reality and is disingenuous at best.

I hope the source is OK…since it’s the CBP website.

Why do you believe that?

You think Biden is doing a great job I take it?

Last week, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich said the ICE rule changes will likely lead to a 50% decline in arrests and deportations of criminal illegal aliens. He estimated up to 8,000 arrested on charges of murder, rape, drug dealing, and kidnapping will go free.

I think they are doing the best they can in a tough situation. The numbers were going to be high this year no matter who was president. Back to back hurricanes and a pandemic made sure of that.

From the article:

The Biden administration continues to rapidly expel most people encountered at the border. In the first four full months of the Biden administration, 65.4% of all people encountered by the Border Patrol at the border were expelled under Title 42 (see Figure 3). While unaccompanied children and some families at the border have been allowed to come into the country and challenge their deportation in immigration court, they represent just 37% of total apprehensions over that period.

The difference is that anyone caught that are from Mexico can be immediately deported. If they are from any other country they must go through the court system. That is the part of the law that I would like to see changed. But so far, neither the Democrats or Republicans in Congress have a desire to address immigration laws.

ICE and CBP are separate agencies, with different missions.

I think they created a tough situation. It got much worse as soon as Biden reinstated catch and release and ended the remain in Mexico program. The Border was rushed because Biden told them to come.

The message was received.

Sorry…leaving people in Mexico for the cartels to abuse isn’t the answer either. We should be better than that.

Look at the numbers from 2019 and the number in April of this year. Not even close.

And what data do you have as per the percentage of all of the people?

Horse hockey.

I’m good with where I stand.

We aren’t “leaving people in Mexico”. That’s where they are.

We should be able to weed through legitimate asylum seekers.

There aren’t any.

Yes…they traveled all that way to live in tents on the border.

How is that our problem?

I disagree.

" Give me your tired , your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

I read where Mexico started a couple of years ago to end their corporation and communication with us regarding the border. So this news, if true, is a good thing.
