I’m not even sure I want the states imposing libs demands.

We see it here all the time…they demanding their cut from other people labor while offering none of their own.

They demand people to conform because they feel uncomfortable, they demand people to comply because they want to see people complying to their demands.

They…libs are authoritarians. And their is long history showing the dangers of totalitarianism. And now they’re in punishment stage…which make em all that more of a threat.

Most large bureaucracies can have efficiency problems.

There are exceptions.

Medicare is very efficient.

SS checks go out every month without fail.

To govern a large country in both size and population, requires a relatively large government .

If we could get the influence of money to not be such a massive factor…more could be done for the people, vs special interests.

40 years of Reaganomics has helped create this distrust and apathy towards government, and society. I believe most people want the best for everyone, and are not as cynical as you describe.

You sound like the provisional government in Russia 1917 after the Tsar abdicated. Good intentions. Socialism-lite. But … as always happens, it doesn’t stop at “some elements”. The fringe will take control and before you know it… it’s “October” and … “comrad this” and “comrad that” and “Yes commissar sir” and then you find that they took control of all your assets to share with everyone else. In the modern version, you may still have documents that say you “own” your stuff. But the government will have complete control over what you can do with “your stuff”. That’s so that leftists on Hannity can laugh and say “oh… you don’t really know what socialism and fascism and communism really are.”

I don’t trust the state or society. Oppression has occurred at the hands of both. That is simply survival instinct.

I trust individuals to a degree, but I always verify their intentions. I am respectful until an individual has proven unworthy of respect through their actions.

When it comes to humanity itself, I am a cynic. I believe we are worth saving. But I don’t think we will save ourselves in the end. We will destroy ourselves long before nature has the chance to. Either through war or through the misuse of our own developing technology.

The VA is basically insurance from your employer.
I’d be happy to invest my own money for my retirement myself. Give back everything that was taken from me.
