So what does that tell you, maybe the answer you seek isn’t as cut and dry as you think.

Being masculine or feminine is something people have control over. NOBODY has control over how they were born. One’s biology/genetics are what they are.

The question asked, why does this matter so much, can say as much about the asker as anything. Jay may well be in that class of persons this doesn’t matter that much to them and is going along to get along with what his side seems to be doing right now; but, it still remains the case that the fervor for validation among those actively demanding it, including by proxy for others, increases in direct proportion to the wrongness of what is being validated.

Holdouts spoil the illusion of acceptance and disturb the proverbial waters some may be trying to pour oil on.

It won’t be the same, which is why it will ultimately fail. Gay rights didn’t require biological women to be subordinate, nor did they require medical procedures on children. This will never be normalized, no matter how many threats your side makes.

Same thing was said about gay marriage. There will be some, that will never accept it…but there are always some that are like that. Fortunately, there are less and less of those folks as we progress as a society.

We do not fully understand the physical world. There was a time, not too long ago, gay people were treated the same as trans are being treated today. Sexuality/gender is not binary. LGBT have been part of society for 1000’s of years, and is present in virtually all species on the planet.

People can deny these facts…but, eventually society progresses. It always does. (with occasional minor setbacks).

The Left out of one side of their mouth tells us that these biological men, whom are either charlatans or delusional, have become women, but then out of the other side of their mouth claim that we can’t define what a woman is.

Have you heard that the definitions have changed? I understand not being comfortable with these types of changes…but it is what societies have done since we have existed in our current form…

But the ones who honestly believe they are women do have to face the reality that they do not have female bodies and can never have female bodies. Thus there are going to be circumstances where they aren’t going to comfortable. Because society shouldn’t turn itself upside down for a tiny population of people who have a unique mental condition. There’s a compromise position.

Mentally no. But physically yes.

Getting on hormone treatment does not magically reduce your muscle mass, bone structure and density, and lung capacity into those equivalent to the average athletic woman.

The state must be blind to their status. The duty of the state is to treat everyone equally without regards to any descriptors.

The average citizen doesn’t have to accept them, though. Freedom of association applies. They must merely tolerate them in a public setting.

Personally they don’t bother me and so long as they are respectful to me I will be respectful in return, including using their preferred pronouns. But that doesn’t mean I’m just going to throw biological facts out the window because of that.
