The editorial is opinion. That’s why it’s clearly in the opinion section and labeled “editorial”. You just don’t like the opinion. Unless you want to…ban opinions?
The editorial board didn’t “allow it”.
They wrote it.

I don’t see the point you’re trying to made with these made up numbers. Yall wanna get rid of opinion sections because they confuse morons?

The DA announced the exact distance he got from the GBI. You are just saying things supported by…what exactly?
We do? Link.
Rolfe will likely beat every single one of these BS charges. Sorry libs, your mob ■■■■ mentality got the better of you, again.

Point is simple if 60% of the Americans never make it past the headline of the article, the headline is what they walk away with and in the case I posted as well as countless others the headlines are misleading. Brooks wasn’t murdered because he was drunk at Wendy’s, he was shot because under the current law (Unless Atlanta has a different one) a tazer is considered a dangerous weapon in which he fired at the officers.
There is a video of a white dude getting tazed to death at a Canadian airport it was horrible they might have changed the laws since then not sure, but they didn’t ignite the airport on fire like they did the Wendy’s.

I’m really at a loss regarding how to explain an editorial any more than I have. I understand that you do not agree with the opinion found in the opinion section of newspaper. That’s kind of the point of the section.

I watched the entire 45 minutes. But if you have the clip, I’m more than willing to look again.
You’re going to be disappointed.

It is Atlanta PD requirement.
And it should be law. If you are detained, they should have to say it. If you are arrested they should have to say it. Enough with the bull ■■■■ games.
Federal law.
As has been mentioned previously some of you need to turn on the news occasionally.
The investigation is not complete and the DA didn’t consult with them prior to filing charges.
By all means post the general order from their SOP on the subject, if it’s true it’s asinine.

It was briefed during the press briefing. It is not asinine. It should be the law. Each is a legal status. If they change my legal status, I have a right to know.
If I am detained or arrested, they have to articulate why. If I am neither, I can walk away. If I am arrested and walk away, I am resisting.
In each case the requirements on me are different. Under Texas law, the requirements on me for ID are different.
What is asinine is thinking they can change my legal status without informing me.
That is ridiculous.

So this is what more fabricated BS from the DA?
No, they are not obligated to explain much of anything to you until after you are securely in custody, there’s no law requiring them to explain it all to you first.

DA started the conference off stating he had preliminary results from the GBI and that his office’s own investigators were there.
Laughed out loud.
So why not wait for the GBI to coplete their investigation?
What was the rush?
Political expediency?

“Never let a crisis go to waste”.
With the investiations into his finances/misappropriaions of funds, being out of money in a race he’s likely to lose, and desperate for a “Hail Mary” he can’t afford to wait for an investigation.
Hell, he’s unconstitutionally indicted the officers for a capital crime without submitting the case to the grand jury.
I’ve never seen this kind of malfeasance and desperation on the part of a prosecutor before and it’s sickening.
He has a record of going after cops for murder when he needs a distraction or a campaign boost, 9 so far and has yet to get a single conviction.
This strongly indicates his motives here are not even tangentially related to “Justice”.

Well some common sense coming back into this case. Just heard a report that there is a big push to remove the DA and appoint a special prosecutor due to the obvious abuse of office, malfeasance, and mishandling of the case, namely the rush to charge them with everything he can think of before an investigation could even be done.

People are arrested and charged with far less than they already have, including multiple videos from different angles, 10+ witness statements, the body, the gun, the shells, the measurements, and dozens of investigators combing the scene.
So the real question would be, what would this be any different? Why would you have expected a delay?
Because it’s a cop. That’s why.
My radio says entertaining things too.
