One of the things Trump got hammered on was his mean tweets, so if you Libs think that contributed to peoples dislike of him and perhaps caused some people not to vote for him, don’t you think it’s kind of dumb for Joe to insult the only people who haven’t decided, and may even swing an election one way or the other?

I think that what he should be really hammered on is using the power of the office of the President to attempt to overturn the results of an election that he knew that he lost which resulted in a violent attack on the Capitol by his supporters.

In any rational world, that would be the end of his political career and in a super rational world it would be the end of him walking around as a free man.

But we aren’t in a rational world…. So here we are.

Believe it or not, I consider you an intelligent person, misguided but intelligent, but to actually believe and perpetuate this ridiculous notion that even an egotist like Trump believed a handful of unarmed people could literally undo or overturn a national election really diminishes that opinion.

Seriously, by what means do you think Trump thought this was a realistic outcome? Were these rioters going to take congress people hostage and demand the election be overturned? Demand the election be overturned or the would blow something up? Kill people? Seriously, how long, even if they managed to occupy the Capitol and barricade themselves in… THEY WERE UNARMED…. ONLY A SMALL GROUP!!! And they were going to do what??? Withstand an assault by the police? The military??? WHAT?? At absolute best, they could cause a disruption which could possibly cause a delay in the official results. That’s not a coup or even an attempted coup. It was a riot. Period.

Trump is an egotist, but no more than Barack Obama. Obama thinks so highly of himself he gifted Queen Elizabeth with a CD of his greatest speeches. Wouldn’t you be thrilled with such a gift and just cherish it and listen to them all the time for inspiration? Only an extreme case of TDS would cause you to believe that Trump actually believed that those rioters could carry out a coup. C’mon man, overcome your TDS for a moment and think…

I don’t think that the violent attack on the Capitol was planned. But it was a logical result of Trump’s actions.

The fact that Trump sat on his hands for hours while it was happening is equally damning.

I understand why Trump supporters don’t want to focus in that.

By contrast the “riots” of the summer of 2020 were very much organized, the damage estimates are over a billion dollars, thousands of LEOs were attacked some killed and how many of the rioters remain in jail or have been tried and sentenced?
