Biden wouldn’t have to suspend campaigning at all except for his day of deposition and if voted to appear before the Senate his actual testimony. He is not impacted like Sanders and Warren.

Warren and Sanders would be impacted more - but an extension of the trial they would have time to campaign to some degree.

If the Senate is referred to committee for depositions then individual Senators will be released from mandatory attendance during the committee and deposition process. They would only have to return when the Senate (as body) reviews and debates the depositions which would be after committee action and the resolution of court cases (if any).

Senators are not required to sit in attendance except during the trial portion. Not for things taking place outside of the floor action.

No. Biden isn’t a Senator and therefore is not required to be there for the whole process while the Senate is sitting as a body for impeachment. He will only need to be there for his deposition (if called) and testimony (if called).

The outcome of the Senate trial will have no effect on what people thought about Trump from before this spectacle began. Those who hate him will still hate him and those who don’t will shrug and go “meh, silly Democrats.”

If Trump is not impeached then by November there will be many bigger issues. This could have an effect only in a very tight race.
