Governmental restriction on the free market goes back to this country’s founding. You are posting in platitudes.
Cut the crap. If you want to discuss the points I’ve made, I would be happy to do so. If you want to obfuscate and divert, then find someone else.
Once again you are obfuscating my points. Either address them or move along.
I am addressing your points. Your belief that this country was founded on free market capitalism doesn’t actually reflect this country’s government control of the economy since its founding. That’s first of all.
Second of all i am not obfuscating. We draw on European systems all the time. You want to pick and choose which system is appropriate.

Whatever gets you to happy hour.
You haven’t addressed a single one. We are done.
Alright let’s try this again.
You: country was founded on Judeo Christian free market system
Me: well no historically this country has not allowed for a free market. The government involved itself in the economy about 5 minutes (figuratively) after the country’s founding. Alexander Hamilton did just that.

Okay Peek, what about the 1000 shades of gray between your dreaded ‘secular socialist country’ and your Trumpian ideal? Are you going to pass judgement on the millions and millions who might advocate a socialist type program here yet support the free market there? Are you going to tell them they should leave when they have one thought and stay when they have another? And what about those who say nothing? Or have no preferences? Or are undecided? Or evolving?
You’re trafficking, literally, in an impossible effort to divine the thoughts and feelings of your fellow humans and judge them. Harshly and wrongly.
Impossible, so give it up.

@FreeAndClear you liked it and I don’t mean to insult your intelligence, do you get it?
If you know that reference I’m about to be very impressed.
Back to the subject. I just keep wondering why Trump hates America. He has said so much so much on so many occasions. So, is it reasonable to suggest that, by extension, his supporters hate America?
The OP was looking for a response explaining the differences between the Squad’s statements and Trump’s statements. I provided that response.
With my response, I wasn’t looking for someone to begin a nuanced discussion about Government’s role in society. And in that regard, radical LW progressive secular socialists really are looking for a wholesale transformation. They aren’t quibbling over subtleties.
So really, it might be time to move on.
Trump doesn’t hate America and neither do his followers, so cut the crap.
But his argument has nothing to do with the points I made. See my later response.
But it certainly seems that way. It’s hard to argue otherwise.
For the last two plus years quiet a few people on the right were labeled as pro Putin or pro Russia because they didn’t believe in the pee pee tapes. It kind of reminded me how the right went after the left after 9/11 and anyone who opposed war…dirty stuff.
