The idea that its somehow a bothsides argument is the easiest thing in the book to say that skirts any culpability of what one side is currently doing and will just drown the conversation in whataboutery. The “left wing media” is really about ratings and profits and it is rather funny some of the networks der trumpengroper wanted to pull the licenses from essentially created the image of him. This also ignores that one side created this admin to piss off the libs and they love the fact we are angered and worried about the direction of this country. Its easy to ignore right wing media’s constant drumbeat of the persecution complex to the point where people who are tremendously well off, getting constant media spotlight, and getting huge book deals are made out to be some downtrodden leader fighting for the oppressed. The “intellectual dark web” should clue people in on just how out of touch we are with actual oppression.

I do not believe this will fix anything. I know how it sounds like it makes a lot of sense to say both parties, but i think an objective look into the republican party will reveal just how far gone it is. Right now, progressives have what they call “justice democrats” trying to take over the democratic party with a stronger message, the republicans have overt white nationalists and in some states neo nazis pushing hard despite Trump’s lame attempt to distance himself from similar figures he himself put in key positions. The country is going to have to decide whether they want to embrace things that will help everyone or embrace hateful demagoguery. If they choose the latter, im going to have to make some very hard decisions because it will be unbearable for me to live here.
