Now I would think most doctors are trained to save lives not kill them, not just people of faith, but especially for doctors who have a faith would be aghast on being mandated to kill babies.
NBC News reporter Hallie Jackson asked Harris if Republicans control Congress, what “specific concessions” would she be willing to make in order to pass legislation on abortion access. “Religious exemptions, for example, is that something that you would consider?”
Harris said she would not consider any concessions.
“I don’t think we should be making concessions when we’re talking about a fundamental freedom to make decisions about your own body,” Harris said.
Jackson pressed Harris, asking her if that argument would win over Republican senators like Susan Collins of Maine, or Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.
“Would you offer them an olive branch? Or is that off the table? Is that not an option for you?” Jackson asked.
“I’m not going to engage in hypotheticals, because we can go on with a variety of scenarios,” Harris replied. “Let’s start with the fundamental fact, a basic freedom has been taken from the women of America, the freedom to make decisions about their own body, and that cannot be negotiable, which is that we need to put back in the protections of Roe v Wade, and that is it.”
So no concessions for doctors who don’t want to kill babies. First, it is someone else’s body that the doctors don’t want to kill,not the woman’s body. She is promoting totalitarianism. It is one thing to promote abortion, which is evil in and of itself, but unfortunately people are supporting, because people have bought the euphemism as ‘choice’. But to mandate those who don’t buy the euphemism, including many who have faith, is nothing but totalitarianism.
Little Sisters of the Poor, contraception is a mortal sin, according to the Catholic Church. Organizations that abide by the Catholic Church teaching (yea I know many Catholics ignore this teaching, but organizations have the religious right to not provide contraception for those who work within that specific organization), but not according to democrats.
Harris introduced the Do No Harm Act, which would have scaled back religious liberty exemptions to government mandates that exist in the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
Under the proposed law, which failed to make it out of the Senate Judiciary Committee, religious employers would not be exempt from covering “any health care item or service” that is required under federal law. This would have eliminated religious exemptions to any coverage related to abortion, contraception, transgender surgeries, or any other health care issue.
Harris introduced the proposal when the Catholic Little Sisters of the Poor sought a religious exemption to an Affordable Care Act rule that mandated coverage of drugs that could induce abortions. Although the sisters were initially denied, they obtained their religious exemption with a victory in the United States Supreme Court thanks to the exemptions that Harris was trying to remove from federal law.
Opposition to religious liberty exemptions for abortion is also consistent with the Biden-Harris administration’s policies over the last four years.
The Biden-Harris Department of Health and Human Services promulgated a rule in 2022 that sought to force all hospitals, including Catholic hospitals, to provide abortions if it constituted a “stabilizing treatment” under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA). This rule was blocked by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court declined to hear the administration’s appeal.
As a U.S. senator, Kamala Harris has voted twice against both the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would ban late-term abortions after five months of pregnancy, and the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would protect babies who survive failed abortions.

So Harris is a nightmare for Catholics who care about their faith and for any Christians who care about their faith. A person who attacks Catholics attack all people of faith, including other Christians, whose liberties would be curtailed.
