Are you often assaulted by people who like you?

Sorry. We didn’t lose. We just decided that who someone marries is none of our business. Very few people care anymore. Remember, Obama, Hillary and most of the dems were anti gay marriage when they were in office. Did politico mention this? Chill out.

All you have to do is go back in the thread and see all the bellying aching by the social cons here.

Of course it’s a loss to them. To you not so much as you are not one of them.

Allan

Why would I do that? They can speak for themselves. I was pro gay marriage before Hillary and Barack were. What the hell took your people so long?

The Confederacy didn’t lose, they just decided they didn’t care about keeping slaves or being their own country anymore.

:man_shrugging:

Took me so long lol.

I have been advocating equality for all since like forever.

Allan

They aren’t my people, they are politicians doing what politicians do.

Thank goodness the republican and democratic parties finally caught up to us. Right?
:slightly_smiling_face:

Well I am a bit older than you (I think) but yeah the don’t ask, don’t tell policy and other laws policies formulated to discriminate were ■■■■■■■■■■ Systematic discrimination. It didn’t end in 1975.

Allan

Yeah. But I think the majority of the population has (very) slowly moved on. Very few talk about the gay guy at work or the lesbian across the street anymore. Most have better things to worry about these days. The exception being the very conservative churches who think they are anointed as the hand of God’s judgement. God doesn’t need their help.

As the last person to care if two adults of the same sex want a relationship with each other, I do wonder this: a month of celebration?

And is all of this acceptance of other than heterosexual relationships helping those individuals to feel more a part of society? Has it reduced problems like depression & substance abuse among GLBTQ individuals?

Seems to me those comfortable in their own skin don’t need to display rainbows or march in tha parade or celebrate a whole month. And tolerance really does seem a one way street—it’s available for homosexuals & those who support such phenomena as same sex marriage, but not for those who object for religious or other personal reasons.

Plenty of Dems were pro gay marriage decades ago, just not all. You likely caught up to me. :grinning:
